The sixty-second session of the Commission on the Status of Women took place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from the 12^th of March to the 23^rd of March 2018. Mrs. Bina Wang, the executive director of WHAO, represented Chairman Zhu as he could not attend the 13^th meeting.

      António Guterres, the ninth secretary general of the United Nations, gave a speech on how to protect and uplift women and girls. Mr. Guterra made sure to answer all the questions from women representatives. He was asked about how to deal with tough situations such as rape and violence experienced by a number of women in many African countries. He assured those in attendance that The United Nations is taking action to combat those issues, and that each country will arrive at a solution at their own pace. Mr. Guterra plans to initiate more events for the youth to be involved with political conversations. 

Mrs. Wang talked to Consul General of Pakistan, New York, Raja Ali Ejaz after the parallel event. She introduced him to all XDMS Group services and invited him to work with WHAO in activities associated with the United Nations. Mr. Ejaz gladly accepted her offer and will be meeting with Mrs. Wang to further discuss possibilities at WHAO headquarters New York City in April this year. WHAO will follow António Guterres’ instructions to contribute to raising social awareness on women and girls issues, and to make more of a connection with developing countries.

The Executive Director of WHAO Mrs. Bina Wang as a representative of XDMS group, has scheduled a meeting on April with the Consul General of Pakistan, New York, Mr. Raja Ali Ejaz to have a deeper discussion regarding to how XDMS group and WHAO work together to help Pakistan with their women, girls, education and energy industry.
