International Day of Sport for Development and Peace was honored on April 6, 2018. The United Nations recognized the unifying and empowering nature of sports as it can be found in different communities around the world. UNESCO once described physical activity as a “fundamental right for all.”

Sporting activity benefits communities as it encourages health, gender equality, economic development, and social integration.  Sport creates an inclusive atmosphere where differences are celebrated, and collaboration is necessary.  It is an affordable way tool to promote peace and sustainable development in society.

World Human Accountability Organization plans to use sport as a tool to empower women and girls in the near future. WHAO will be teaming up with AC Milan in hopes to fund more public spaces and promote education.
