On June 19, 2018, Chairman of the Board of Directors of XDMS Group, Youyu Zhu, led WHAO’s team to visit the International Buddhist Progress Society in New York. The Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA) is a non-profit monastic organization that operates all over the world. It was established in 1992 and later received the special Consultative Status in United Nations in 2003, it has always been working towards building world peace.
The founder of BLIA, Master Hsing Yun, still maintains a quiet and humble attitude towards life, and has led Buddhists across the country to form this association dedicated to serving society. The main purpose is to promote the life of the Dharma, advocate Buddhism in people’s daily lives as its goal, and to be involved in education, culture, charity, Buddhism and other work to purify people's hearts.
During WHAO’s visit, Master Yong Gu, You Wang and several other masters warmly welcomed WHAO’s chairman and his team on behalf of BLIA.
They also led WHAO to visit the exhibition hall of the International Buddhist Progress Society in New York, and then invited WHAO to experience a vegan cuisine. They shared their most recent educational projects, one being walking libraries. WHAO and BLIA exchanged ideas and projects for the benefit of mankind, and gained a deeper understanding of the Buddhism. The two parties reached a consensus on cooperation after this meeting. WHAO thanked and donated money to the Buddha's Light International Association and looks forward to the close ties that will happen in the future on the UN stage.
