In July of 2017, the World Human Accountability Organization (WHAO) hosted a Global Sustainable Development Conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. The event was led by former Malawi President Joyce Banda and over fifty business leaders, politicians, public service and community activists attended. The theme of the event was “fostering grassroots partnerships”, in parallel to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
